• MS is recommending a new business focused role of a Content Steward be to define #SharePoint enterprise meta data, policies,
• Lookup column is glue between lists n #sharepoint 2010, u can do relational lists (cas delete, restrict del) and query them
• MS Project Server 2010 requires MS SharePoint 2010 Enterprise server
• Now we have one calendar that merge all the calendars (project team, personal, exchange)
• New enterprise content service manages content types in #SharePoint 2010 incl policies and records Mgmt,including enterprise metadata
• Content Type Syndication is the official term for SP2010 feature that allows publishing/updating content types across the farm. Content Type Syndication: Metadata Service centralises management via content type hub site
• When archiving a #SharePoint 2010 doc, you can send it to an archive library and a reference link is creating for the orig document
• Documents can now have enterprise-level managed keywords and tags in #SharePoint
• The sp2010 Content Organizer can automatically move document storage location based on assigned metadata.
• Document can be pushed to a location based on content type!
• Lots of changes to doc mgmt in #sharePoint 2010 but interesting that there is shift back to folder use
• All webparts are included in page versionering
